Cake Decorating Workshops

We’re pleased to offer in-person cake decorating workshops at April’s Baker.

All classes will take place at a venue near our bakery in Merton Abbey Mills in London SW19 2RD.

Please note that our classes focus purely on icing and cake decorating techniques and will not include the process of baking or stacking cakes.

Spaces are limited so we encourage booking as soon as you can to ensure reserving a space.

Coquette Cake

£240 (incl. VAT) per person

3.5 hrs in-depth class in which you’ll decorate a cake with piping whilst having detailed demonstrations and individual mentoring. You will receive a cake to decorate in your choice of vanilla or chocolate that yields 8-10 servings for you to take home.

Included in the class:

Learn to ice a cake with swiss buttercream to smooth perfection
Introduction to a range of “coquette style” vintage piping techniques with time allotted to practice
Demonstration of how to decorate a cake using techniques shown
Decorate your own cake to take home with techniques learnt
Option to add bows for that extra coquette look
Time for Q&A at end of the class
